Operational Assessments ~ Process Improvement ~ Systems Optimization

Not every TECH PROBLEM is a tech problem.

Sometimes it’s a PROCESS problem.

Located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Serving clients virtually anywhere.

Running a service-based business shouldn’t feel harder than the work itself

Digital Construx helps small consulting and service businesses simplify the way work flows behind the scenes, from client intake to delivery, so nothing important lives only in your head.

If your operations feel scattered, inconsistent, or overly manual, it’s not a personal failure. Most small business owners are building systems late at night, choosing tools without a clear plan, and hoping everything holds together as they grow.

I help bring clarity to that chaos

By designing practical processes and lightweight systems that support how you actually work, I help you spend less time managing technology and more time running your business.

No over-engineering. No unnecessary tools. Just calmer, more predictable ways of working.

Most business processes aren’t proactively designed and implemented.

They grow slowly over time as a result of varying employee work styles, team interactions, and client demands.

But there are patterns to where inefficient processes come from.
The key is starting with the process itself. That’s where the patterns live.

processes with no actual value

Why do we do the things we do?

Habit? Lack of training? Maybe. But it’s worth it to examine whether the work your employees are doing has a positive impact on revenue or if it’s just taking up time. Because “we’ve always done it this way” isn’t actually a strategy.

‘secret’ manual processes

Hiding out of plain sight.

If you feel like some work is taking longer than it should and it’s already automated, there may be some unnecessary manual steps hiding inside. Sometimes it’s just one extra copy-paste or side spreadsheet quietly slowing everything down.

Turf war processes

Don’t tell them we did this.

Sometimes processes aren’t inefficient, they’re protective. A team builds a workaround, keeps ownership tight, or creates extra steps simply to maintain control. It’s rarely malicious…but it can create duplication, confusion, and a surprising amount of inefficiency.

Are you putting off cleaning up your messy processes because you think new tech tools will help fix them?

The reality is not taking the time to weed out inefficient and unnecessary processes before bringing in technology means they can grow into the very foundation of your systems.

And be expensive to fix later.

How we can work together

  • Figure out what’s actually broken

I take an objective look at how work actually gets done and pinpoint what’s causing delays, confusion, and quiet frustration. So you finally have clarity and a plan.

  • Create a path forward

I map what’s really happening, cut the unnecessary steps and “why are we doing this?” moments, and simplify your processes so they actually make sense to the humans using them.

  • And optimize your current tech

Before you buy another tool, I help you streamline and realign the systems you already have so they support how your team truly works. With far less friction.

services

  • Operations Review

getting clear on how things work

When work feels harder than it should, there’s usually a reason. And it’s rarely what you thinks it is. I look at how things actually function day to day, ask the questions no one else is asking, and surface the real constraints.

At the end of this engagement, you’ll walk away with:

    - A clear picture of where your operations are breaking down. Not a vague “everything’s broken” diagnosis

    - Prioritized recommendations on what to fix (and what to ignore)

    - A practical path forward based on how your business actually runs

    Typical investment: $1,500 – $3,000

All engagements begin with an Operations Review to ensure we’re solving the right problem.

  • Workflow Clarity & Simplification

    making workflows easier to manage

Most processes don’t fail dramatically, they erode slowly. Extra steps creep in. Ownership blurs. Workarounds become normal. I map what’s really happening, identify where friction quietly accumulates, and simplify with intention. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s processes people can actually follow without constant interpretation or heroics.

At the end of this engagement, you’ll walk away with:

    - Streamlined workflows for your key processes

    - Clear steps for how work should move from start to finish

    - Reduced reliance on memory and ad-hoc decisions

    Typical investment: $2,500 – $5,000

  • Systems & Operations Alignment

aligning systems with how you actually work

Tools rarely fail on their own. They fail when they’re forced to support unclear processes. Before adding anything new, I help you realign existing systems to the way work truly flows. Expect smarter configurations, cleaner handoffs, and fewer “the system won’t let me” moments using what you already have.

At the end of this engagement, you’ll walk away with:

    - Tools that better support your workflows*

    - Cleaner, more consistent ways of managing work

    - A setup that’s easier to maintain as you grow

    Typical investment: $3,000 – $6,000

*Cost of tool licenses or subscriptions are not included in cost of investment.

how I work

Practical, human-centered, and focused on outcomes

When we work together, I start by understanding how you actually work, not how you think you should work. That means listening carefully, mapping workflows, and identifying where friction, miscommunication, or inefficiency is slowing things down.

From there, I help design simple processes and systems that support your business, not the other way around. I don’t push unnecessary tools, over-engineer solutions, or promise overnight transformations. My goal is to make your operations clearer, calmer, and more predictable, so you can spend your time where it matters most: running your business and delighting your clients.

I typically work best with service-based businesses where operations are currently unclear, growing pains are real, and owners are willing to make small, practical changes to see meaningful improvements.

If you’re looking for a quick fix, a plug-and-play software solution, or someone to implement tools without examining workflows, I may not be the right fit. And that’s okay. My work is most effective when we collaborate thoughtfully and take the time to design systems that actually support how you run your business.

about digital construx

Digital Construx exists because running a small service-based business is sometimes harder than the work itself.

Most business owners don’t struggle because they lack talent or clients. They struggle because the way work flows behind the scenes is unclear, inconsistent, or living entirely in their head.

Designing client processes, figuring out which tools to use, and keeping everything running smoothly takes time. Time you don’t have when you’re focused on delivering great work. And even when you carve out a few late-night hours to “fix things,” it’s hard to know where to start or whether you’re solving the right problem.

You may sense something’s off operationally, but you’re not sure if it’s your tools, your communication, or the way work is being tracked. Whatever the cause, the result is the same: unnecessary friction pulling you away from running your business with clarity and confidence.

A Bit About Me

My background is in process and technology across both large-scale and highly regulated environments…from working on a digital operations team within a global hospitality company to leading process, team, and client management efforts in the federal contracting space.

That experience shaped how I work today: practical, people-centered, and grounded in real-world constraints.

What I love most about this work is helping small business owners see that operations and technology don’t have to be rigid or overwhelming. When designed thoughtfully, they can support focus, reduce stress, and give you more room to do the work you’re actually good at.
